Michael is the first and only paraplegic balloon pilot in the world! He
has been described as a genuine, witty and heartfelt speaker. He hits
his audiences with honesty and passion unexpected by most. His
keynotes don’t just leave people inspired but motivated and ready take
on a positive direction to fulfill their goals and dreams without letting
obstacles stop their progress. Having suffered an injury that would
cripple most people’s spirits, having traveled the world despite that
injury, and becoming a balloon pilot despite many telling him it was
impossible, Michael impacts his audience with a message of hope,
strength, and perseverance that is unique and inspiring.
Michael is….
A positive, influential, down to earth person, who truly has a passion and
desire to change people’s lives by sharing a message of hope and
determination. He pulls from his vast life experiences as a person in the
disability arena, as a former high school and college athlete, a skydiver,
a world traveler, a husband, and a true lover of life.
He has shared his life lessons with the disabilities graduating class at
Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell, the state of New Mexico
Disability Conference, and many elementary schools and churches
across the Southwest. He has been featured many times in the media
for his attendance at such events. In addition to his message, Michael
travels with his 6-story tall hot air balloon, which leaves a lasting
impression on everyone who sees it!

Booking Michael…
For many years Michael has been booking travel for guest speakers,
business professionals, and job candidates at the University of Arizona.
He is very familiar with the process and how convenient it can be for
multiple organizations to combine efforts and save money. Michael
would love to combine travel plans for multiple engagements or block
bookings. He is always willing to find a way to make things easier for
his clients.
Michael’s Special Needs….
Basically Michael will need transportation costs, a place to stay, food,
and people to help with the balloon, no experience necessary. If the
balloon is not needed, he will fly into any major airport the evening
before an event, he needs to stay somewhere central to the event
location or locations, he will need to be picked up at the hotel and
transported to and from events. He does not need special transportation
as he can get in and out of regular vehicles. With a block booking all
hosts will share in the expenses associated with Michael’s
presentations. He will need a signed contract and deposit prior to the
event. All details between the client and Michael will be agreed upon
prior to the event.
